Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth connected Friday sent a memo to West Point, nan U.S. Naval Academy and nan U.S. Air Force Academy, saying that each early admissions will beryllium based solely connected merit. 

"The Department owes it to our nation, our Service Members, and our young Americans applying to nan MSAs to guarantee admissions to these prestigious institutions are based exclusively connected merit," Hegseth wrote successful a memo to nan academies.
